Streamer tools for your first donation and your next livestream
A recognisable support page, clear audio and an uncluttered stream are a good foundation. DonoLink adds donations, alerts and widgets to your stream setup. Viewers can support you with iDEAL without creating a DonoLink account.
Getting started with streaming: which tools do you need?
Start with a streaming platform, a stable internet connection and a microphone that records your voice clearly. If you use OBS Studio, first build one scene with your picture and audio. Record a short clip and listen back. Then add a donation link and one alert. This helps you catch problems before adding more overlays and scenes.
A support link for streamers and content creators
Your personal donation page brings together your name, profile, donation amounts and a message field. Share the same link under videos, on your channel or through an on-screen QR code. Choose a recognisable username and explain what the support is for in your bio. You can also share this creator support page with video or podcast fans when you are not live.
Free stream alerts, overlays and OBS widgets
Use a donation alert to thank a donor, a donation goal to show progress, and recent donations or a leaderboard to recognise supporters. DonoLink also has chat and media overlays. Match text, sound and appearance to your stream. Widgets load through an OBS browser source; these DonoLink overlays do not require an extra OBS plugin.
More interaction with viewers, with room for everyone
Choose a clear topic for your stream and ask questions that new viewers can join in with. Occasionally mention where to find your support link and briefly thank donors. Keep chat readable with moderation and leave room for conversation between alerts. Track which videos and streams bring returning viewers before spending on a bigger setup. Tools alone do not guarantee more viewers or income.
Your account and OBS overlays are free. For a standard iDEAL donation, DonoLink charges 3.5%; Stripe separately charges €0.29 per payment. There is no subscription. Check the pricing page for fees by payment method.
